Reviving and Highlighting our Heritage

The Sint Maarten Heritage Foundation is launching an exciting SXM Doet project to revive and showcase the historic monuments at the Belvedere Plantation in collaboration with Heirs Plantz. By cleaning up, clearing overgrowth and by installing educational, informative, creative and artistic historical signs and markers, this initiative will bring new life to this important heritage site.

We will work with two groups on this day.

We want to create a space where schools and local groups can explore the island’s rich history and where tours can be offered to visitors to cultivate a deeper connection to Sint Maarten’s past. We need, next to help clearning up the area, help with creating innovative and artistic signs, labels and creative artwork to educate, indicate, enhance and enlighten the various structures of the Monuments.

As the site is on private land, access will be granted by pre-authorization. Join us in preserving and celebrating our heritage!
